Before they were the Co-Founders of the major franchise Booster Juice, Dale Wishewan and Jon Amack had other plans for their lives. Here is an insight into the the lives of the co-founders before they created Booster Juice.
Dale Wishewan was born and raise in Waskatenau, Alberta. He had always wanted to be a Major League Baseball player every since he was a boy. He even got a scholarship to the Portland State University in Oregon for baseball. At this university he was also taking a mechanical engineering program. He soon realized that he wasn't destined for baseball as he felt wasn't as good as some of the pro's so he decided to end that dream. After University he went and worked for a company called Edmonton Exchanger where he worked in international technical sales. It was there that he learned a lot about business from the founder of Edmonton Exchanger, Henry Gusse. Dale believed that someone needed to start a healthy alternative to the fast food market and on a camping trip with a good friend of his, Jon Amack they came up with the idea to start a smoothie company in Canada. Dale did very well on the stock market and his friend Jon aso was very successful in his own business so they put there money together for the start up funds to create booster juice. Not as much is known about Jon Amack. We know that he and Dale met at the University of Portland because they were both in the mechanical engineering program. We also know that Jon asked dale how the smoothie market was doing in Canada on a camping trip they went on together and explained to Dale the popularity and success of different company's in the states. And that the 2 were always business savy as even before the graduated they were doing very well importing Viper security car alarm systems to Canada. Neither of them had any restaurant experience prior to opening Booster Juice.
